Skyrim Hd Terrain Parallax Review

Skyrim Hd Terrain Parallax

I'd like to figure out a problem. It appears that with FixParallaxTerrain=true, any terrain texture that contains an alpha channel gets corrupted when rendered, but there is no problem with static model textures. A good example is dirt02, which looks just fine when part of the road nif, but when it is part of the surrounding terrain, it is corrupted. The only way to correct this is to remove the alpha channel from the diffuse, but for road01, it can have an alpha channel (which seems to be used for specular instead of transparency). How can I fix the terrain corruption without removing the alpha channel from all the texture pack's diffuse textures?. Any ideas?Terrain Parallax & 'Terrain Bump' are completely different.

While Terrain Parallax uses the Parallax feature for terrain textures (enabled by enb, therefore enb required), terrain bump simply bumps the normal map so the texture gets a higher contrast, or 'fake shadowing'.Terrain Parallax is much higher in quality. As long as you are using ENB I highly recommend to use these terrain parallax textures and avoid the terrain bump thing. Electrocutor wrote: So. Hein84 wrote: hey!nice to hear you like my work.Best install order in my opinion is:Skyrim HD 2kthan Skyrim HD - Terrain Parallax Tributeand finally all the Vivid Landscapes stuff you wantHey man thanks for the reply.I just checked MO and realized there aren't any conflicting files so I disabled this mod, went in game and found that your All in One pack is already parallax'd so I am guessing I don't need this if I am not using HD 2K right? Its why you were suggesting that particular install order, weren't you? What I am using though is the roads part of this mod and man those brown roads looks gorgeous compared to the off-white, bland vanilla roads. Goes perfectly with the brownish theme of your Vivid mods.

Trying to tailor an ENB around them.Quick question though - why is there no parallax effect on the bridge roads? I don't mean the actual bridge as I understand this mod is only for terrain parallax - I mean the actual stretch of road on the bridge. Its there on the roads leading up to the bridge but as soon as a bridge shows up, BAM its all flat. Kindly jarring having this very noticeable effect disappear all of a sudden.Edited by XenolithicYardZone, 21 March 2016 - 05:23 PM.
